Informal Theme #2 Blog #2 |
All things come and go. You meet new people, you learn new things. Some people will stay in your mind and leave a mark in your heart and some won’t. There is a one particular person who has made a mark in both my mind and heart, Mrs. Mildred Climacosa-Atendido or simply Ma’am May.
“The best preparation for tomorrow is to do today’s work superbly well”.
This quotation from Sir William Osler reminds me of Ma’am May a lot. She thought us many wonderful things and I can never forget all those things she has told us. I know all of those can help me fulfilling my goals in life. These are the some of the things I learned from her.
Time is gold. Actually this has lots of meanings but I think for her, this means that we shouldn’t waste our time for nonsense things. We should do our tasks as early as possible, I mean, for example, when we have a project, we should make it few days before the due date and not on the exact day when we need to pass it. We should spend our leisure times doing something functional.
We always have a choice. Whenever we say that we don’t have a choice, she’ll always say that we have a choice. We can just say such words because we’re just anxious for what may be the result after picking that choice. We are afraid to face the consequences if we chose that. All we need to do is to admit the fact and accept anything that will happen.
Attitude is very important. Yes, you are beautiful, rich, and intelligent, but your attitude is freaking bad! We know that attitude is very important because no matter how many awards and certificates you get, you’ll still be remembered by your attitude. If you’re beautiful but you have a very bad trait, I think no one will like you because attitude comes first for most of the people.
Ma’am May inspired me a lot. I learned many brilliant things from her and I promise that I’ll never forget all those things. She has left a big mark on my heart and she’ll always be remembered. I just wanna thank her for everything she has done to us and especially to me.
