Filipinos have experienced the dictatorship of Ferdinand Marcos twenty-five years ago, but it was ended by means of a revolution and showed the “People Power”.
People Power Revolution, it marked the restoration of the Philippines’s democracy. This EDSA Anniversary is very significant to each and every one of the Filipinos since our country became free because of this. The day of the commemoration of this anniversary is a holiday because we all need to celebrate that great day.
Everything was set. The commemoration of People Power will be happening this coming Friday, February 25, 2011. The venue, the flow of the event, and everything were prepared. There are also policemen who’ll take charge of the security of the said event. Everyone was welcome and invited to join the commemoration.
As part of the celebration, there will also be a photo exhibit. The photos will be displayed in a particular place in Tamuning. The exhibit will be available to the public beginning Tuesday and will remain up through Feb. 28.
